Curriculum vitae 
Professor Giannakoudakis Andreas of Demetrios was born in Thessaloniki in 1955. He graduated in 1973 from the Second High School of Thessaloniki. He received his Bachelor’ s degree in Chemistry (July 1977) with an “excellent” (9.52 grade). He enrolled in the Mathematics Department of the School of Physics and Mathematics and received the Degree of Mathematics “very well” (Grade 8.10). After his 28-month service in the Greek Army, he retired with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. In 1981 he was appointed Research Associate at the Second Regular Chair of Inorganic Chemistry. In 1982 he received his PhD in Physics and Mathematics School with “Excellent” grade. In 1982 he was appointed Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry, in the Department of General and Inorganic Chemistry and then in 1984 Lecturer in the Department of Physical Analytical and Environmental Chemistry. In 1985 he was elected Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Analytical and Environmental Chemistry. He developed research collaboration with the Chemistry Departments of the Universities of Munich, Munster and Graz in the field of Physico-Chemistry – Electrochemistry. In 1990 he was elected Associate Professor of Chemistry in the Department of Physical, Analytical and Environmental Chemistry. In 2012 he was elected Professor in the field of Electrochemistry. His research interests are mainly focused in two directions: in the field of Physical Chemistry – Electrochemistry and in the field of Chemical Education with the application of Information and Communication Technologies. He has been teaching for 39 years a wide range of teaching subjects in Chemistry and Mathematics in undergraduate and postgraduate programs. He is the author of many books and software used in middle and higher education.
