Key responsibilities of the Department include:

• announcing vacancies, recruiting staff, granting tenure and promotion, managing resignation and retirement processes and, in general, the service status of faculty members, guest teachers to the Aristotle University, designated assistant professors, research fellows, and teachers hired pursuant to article 5 of the presidential decree 407/1980,
• issuing relevant orders,
• granting leaves of absence, certificates and allowances.
