Lecture «Aristotle – study of formal logic» -Stavropol State Medical University

In the occasion of the "Aristotle Anniversary Year", Stavropol State Medical University, Russia, organizes a series of events (lectures, conferences, exhibitions, etc) to honor the universal and interdisciplinary character of Aristotle’s work, and to highlight the significant influence he has had on several diverse scientific fields.

On 29th February 2016, the Department for Philosophy and Humanities of the Stavropol State Medical University organized the lecture «Aristotle – study of formal logic». 

Professor T. B. Sergeyeva noted Aristotle’s huge impact on the spiritual life and the development of science. Pro f. K. R. Amlaev (Pro-Rector for International and Interregional Affairs) spoke about the partnership established between our University and Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece).
The main part of the lecture included presentations delivered by scientists among whom philosophers like T. B. Sergeeva, S. R. Agirbov, A. N. Esev V. P. Petushkov, and V. V. Arutyunyan. In their speeches these experts focused on specific aspects of the philosophical system developed by Aristotle – Metaphysics, Ethics, Aesthetics, Logic, Polity. Besides, the students were shown a film and video clips, and slides depicting specific features of the ancient culture.
The audience attending the lecture involved over 300 students of all departments, the teaching staff as well as the members of the University Administration.
