An important result of the AdS/CFT correspondence is a precise relationship between black hole dynamics and fluids in the hydrodynamical regime. Extending that, current research focuses on non-relativistic fluid/gravity correspondence, Lifshitz holography and holographic non-equilibrium fluid dynamics, among others. Related work in general relativity includes recent developments in black hole formation and the stability analysis of solutions with non-zero cosmological constant.

The Workshop will bring together leading researchers in string theory and gravity having common interests in fluid/gravity correspondence.
